The 7th generation CIVIC TYPE R (code-named FL5) returns to a more refined and simplistic design, moving away from the aggressive styling of the previous two generations. It still features aerodynamic components at the front and rear, as well as widened fenders. The powertrain continues to use the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 K20C engine, with improvements made to the turbo system and other parts. These subtle changes have once again crowned the CIVIC TYPE R as the fastest FF vehicle on the Nürburgring track.
